5 Most Expensive Belts in the World

The most expensive belts are those made from exotic materials and are decorated with precious stones designed by famous designers.

1. Calibre R822 Predator – $462,765

The costliest part of this belt is not its leather but the buckle! While the belt is made using high-end luxury leather, the buckle is made of Titanium and White Gold. The buckle even has 387 top-quality clear diamonds set in it.

The specialty of this buckle is that it is made using 160 movable parts and has self-cleaning track wheels which keep the internal parts clean and moving at all times. Only three pieces were ever made by Roland Iten, the famous Swiss jewelry designer.

2. Dowager Duchess of Marlborough’s Amethyst and Diamond Belt – $370,486

This belt once belonged to Gladys Marie, the dowager Duchess of Marlborough. It is made using over 36 flawless Amethyst and polished diamonds studded in gold. The Duchess used it as a necklace as well as a belt. It was sold to a private collector at an auction in 2013 for $370,486.

3. Gucci Stuart Hughes Platinum & Diamond Belt – $249,000

Gucci Stuart Hughes Platinum & Diamond Belt has high-end luxury leather and a double-G Gucci buckle made of Platinum. The double-G also carries 30 carat worth of identical top-quality diamonds studded on the emblem. The belt was the result of a collaboration between the fashion house Gucci and Stuart Hughes.

4. Bvlgari Diamond Serpent Belt – $229,415

Made in the 1960s, the Diamond Serpent Belt remains one of the most striking accessories made by Bvlgari. Made in the shape of a snake, this brown-gold coloured belt has individual enamel scales which are mounted on a movable frame. The head of the snake is made of pure gold and has eyes made of diamond. The Bvlgari Diamond Serpent belt was sold in 2014 at an auction for $229,415.

5. Antique Diamond Multi-Gem Belt – $103,000

Designed somewhere in the 1880s, the Antique Diamond Multi-Gem belt has squares and rectangles made of gold studded with precious stones like diamonds, rubies and pearls.

While you may think that a metallic belt might be very discomforting to the wearer, you must know that it has soft underclothing which makes it easy for the user without disturbing the metal and stone fittings. This one-of-a-kind Antique Diamond Multi-Gem belt was sold in 2008 for $103,000 to a private collector.
